Which Stampin' Up! Black Ink DO I Use? This is a common questions posed by my customer. Here are some tips to help you navigate through the choices offered by Stampin' Up!:
Our StazOn Jet Black Ink (101406) is a solvent ink and is the best option when you want a permanent stamped image. This is the perfect ink to use when coloring a stamped image (you don't want the image to smear or bleed into the colors) with Stampin' Write Markers, Blender Pens and Aqua Painters. You can use on our shiny cello bags, window sheets and also on tiles (for coasters). You DO NOT want to use this ink with Stampin' Up! Blendabilities.
The Tuxedo Memento Black Ink Pad (132708) is dye based, fast drying, acid free, and fade resistant. This ink is great for backgrounds and greetings but DO NOT use with Stampin' Write Markers, Aquapainters and Blender Pens – there is a good chance it will smear. DO use with Blendabilities.
The Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad (126980) is a great choice for stamping images on colored cardstock. I do not use this ink on Whisper White or Very Vanilla Cardstock; I find that the ink smears. I have not had a smearing problem when using our colored cardstock. This is a great ink to use for basic stamping; if you are new to stamping and aren't doing much coloring yet.
